  This is now known as Lobster Lodge, after took over by the owner of Lobster Shack. We were here in September 2017 for a night. We stayed in the Queen Room with ensuite bathroom. There was clean, comfortable, quiet and big, though a bit dated. The ensuite bathroom is big and clean. The heater is kinda torn out. There's refrigerator and hair dryer in the room. There is no free WiFi here, don't pay for the WiFi, you only get 45 minutes of connectivity (not 3G as stated). Location is good, close to Thirsty Point Lookout, and you might get to see wild kangaroo if you are at luck.

  I contacted Lobster Lodge in July 2017 to enquire about their accommodation and to check availability for September. I booked a queen en-suite room for 2 adults and 2 young children. My Credit Card details was provided and booking confirmed. When we arrived on 23 September at 3pm I was told that there was no record of my booking and that they didn't have any additional rooms. I was told that they were only tending to the lodge while the owner was on holiday. They took my details and I was told that I would be contacted upon the owner's return. To date nobody has contacted me and I have made several attempts to contact the owner to inform them of what happened to no avail. I sincerely hope that this review would reach thee relevant person/s in an attempt to spare others the same inconvenience.

  Very cosy and homely place with lovely owners - feels like you are a guest in a house not a hostel in a really good way! Unfortunately closing in January 2017 but if you have time to get in before then definitely do so!
